Vince Young Assaults Dallas Strip Club Employee
Former University of Texas star and NFL quarterback Vince Young, was cited by the police in the assault of a man who insulted Young inside a northwest Dallas strip club yesterday. Although police did not booked Young, they imposed a $500 fine on the NFL star on Class C misdemeanor charge. Footage taken from the surveillance video installed at the Club Onyx showed that Young and an employee of the club 45-year-old Creiton Kinchen were involved in an exchange of words before the scuffle in a small, crowded office area about 3:30 a.m.
"There was a conversation going on between Mr. Young and several people inside the office. One of the [club employees] makes a gesture contradictory to the University of Texas, the 'Hook 'em' sign upside down. This obviously made Mr. Young upset,”," said Dallas police Lt. Craig Miller, acting commander of the Crimes Against Persons Division. Police said that either Young or Onyx may have been under the influence of alcohol during the scuffle.
Young’s Dallas attorney and agent both preferred not to say anything on the incident. The Houston native is entering his fifth season with the Tennessee Titans and Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that he was aware of the incident.
"Members of the organization have been in touch with Vince. At this point, we're just gathering facts. I have nothing else to say about it. I can't speculate, can't go into detail. We're just gathering facts. I'm sure we will have a lot more information over the next few days," said Fisher.
